We invite all couples to consider being married at our beautiful and historic church. It is the perfect setting for your special day! Our pastors are happy to work with you to customize your wedding ceremony. 

We celebrate many weddings every year, each with a great deal of care and detail. Our goal is to provide you with a personalized service that reflects the love, commitment, faith and joy you share.

First Parish is a beautiful and historic place to be married. Built in 1747, the church has a simplicity and beauty that works so well for wedding ceremonies. Many find that our church sanctuary perfectly fits their dream of a traditional church wedding. While small enough to be intimate, our sanctuary supports the capacity of 300 people. Most of our weddings are for about 100 guests.

First Parish has an exceptional organist and Director of Music to serve you on this special occasion.
If you do not wish to have an organist or pianist, please let the Church know when scheduling your wedding. 

First Parish Church has a number of excellent soloists. They are happy to sing at weddings and are accustomed to singing with our organists/pianists. Alternately, you can arrange for your own soloist. Soloists usually rehearse with the organist an hour & an half before the ceremony. Soloists should come to the ceremony with copies of their music for the organist.

• Do you marry non-members?

  Yes we do. It is expected that at least one member of the couple be a committed Christian, since we offer a Christian wedding ceremony that includes prayers and scripture readings. We preside at many interfaith services and tailor the service to meet your particular faith practices. We'll work with you to create a sacred marriage ceremony grounded in faith and filled with joy.

• Do you support Marriage Equality?

  Yes, we are an Open and Affirming church and we support all who wish to enter into marriage. 

• How many times will the couple meet with the pastor?


  Couples typically meet with the pastor twice. Meetings include pre-marital counseling and ceremony planning.

• How do I schedule my wedding?

• What are the fees?
