What is First Parish Church known for around town? That was the recent question posed as part of the FPC Visioning Forum. Here are the results, basically as they were written on the sheets:

Friendliness, helping those in need, the community church, composting, monthly food collections, fitness program, great preaching, kindness and caring, welcoming, cemetery botanical garden, pumpkin patch, history, being welcoming, chimes, the “white sneaker” church, mission work, a great choir, the people, compassion, the music, Christmas in the village, inviting warmth, our choir, cemetery is a treasure, Wendell is God inspired, Pastor Eric is the “Wendell of preaching ??.”

If you have other thoughts that get at what people outside of the church think about FPC or what our reputation is around town, please send them along. This coming Sunday, we will have a new question.
This Sunday we will not the usual coffee hour, but you are invited to come prepared for the “Gratitude Luncheon.” Thanks to the generosity and efforts of many people, each Thanksgiving Sunday we have a Thanksgiving lunch, free and open to all. In recent years, we have invited the congregation to bring in their estimate of giving or pledge cards to fund God’s work in the world through FPC on Thanksgiving Sunday. If you have not done so yet, we invite you to bring your estimate of giving card for 2024 this Sunday. To this point, we have received 54 estimate of giving cards for a total of $186, 280.
I’m very grateful for all the ways commitment and contributions of our First Parish Church members and friends.

            Blessings,

            Eric
