Stewardship 2025

2025 Stewardship Program

Theme – Growing through Giving

“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
- 1 Chronicles 29:14

CONSECRATION SUNDAY

Stewardship From a Spiritual Perspective

Consecration Sunday, a Stewardship Program Guide, developed by Herb Miller with Eugene Grimm, “has helped thousands of congregations approach financing the ministries of their congregation by teaching stewardship from a spiritual perspective rather than a fundraising perspective. It focuses on the question ‘What is God calling me to do?’ rather than, ‘What does the church need in order to pay its bills.” (Herb Miller with Eugene Grimm).

A Steward is a person who receives and recognizes God’s abundance.
A Steward is a person who praises God with generous giving.
A Steward is a person who recognizes and cares for that which God has entrusted to him or her.
A Steward is a person who lives in harmony with God’s creation.

Our 2025 Stewardship campaign will be a brand-new effort, involving a cross-section of Boards, Committees, and Church leadership. This program was developed from extensive research and has a proven track record for results. Pastor Eric has positive experience using the program in congregations he has previously served and is looking forward to introducing at First Parish.

Be on the lookout for more information about Consecration Sunday in the Newsletter, Oasis, social media, letters, in church announcements, and perhaps Podcasts.
