Position Summary:

The Church Office Administrator is an essential position as they provide administrative and operational support to the pastoral staff, ministry leaders, volunteers, and the congregation. As the first point of contact for visitors and members, this role is key to maintaining a welcoming and organized Church environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily office functions, including answering phones, handling correspondence (email and mail), ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment.
  • Support Ministry Leaders and Committee/Board Leaders with coordination and assist with preparing necessary materials as needed.
  • Maintain and update the Church calendar for all meetings, events, facility rentals, and community organizations.
  • Create and distribute Church bulletins, newsletters, and other communications on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Update and maintain the Church website and social media channels.
  • Manage the Church database to ensure accurate membership, contact information, attendance records, and additional Church records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal staff, congregation, volunteers, and external vendors.

Qualifications

  • Proven organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Experience in an administrative or office management role.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with Church operations and values is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a welcoming, patient, and professional demeanor
