To represent First Parish Church at meetings and functions of the Maine Conference of the United Church of Christ (UCC) and the York Association of the Maine Conference.


  1. To attend the annual meeting of the Maine Conference, which is held in June. These meetings typically include several business meetings, seminars on worship topics and missions, and time for fellowship and worship.
  2. To represent our church at semi-annual meetings of the York Association of the UCC, dealing with business decisions and by-law updates as well as occasional seminars and other special events.
  3. To encourage our church’s participation in “Five for Five,” the five annual fundraising outreaches of the UCC: One Great Hour of Sharing, Strengthen the Church, Neighbors in Need, Christmas Fund/Veterans of the Cross, and Our Church’s Wider Mission.


There are five members of this committee, nominated by the Church Nominating Committee for a term of three years. Members are not eligible for re-election for one year after their final term, unless the Nominating Committee is unable to present a new candidate.
